Abstract (EN)
The aim of the research is to examine the metaphorical perceptions of the students about the concept of class teacher. This research is a qualitative research in the phenomenon model. The study group of the study, which was held in the 2016-2017 academic year, consists of the 4th grade students in the primary school, the 8th grade in the secondary school, the 12th grade in the high school and the senior students studying in the Department of Primary Education Department of the Faculty of Education. As a means of collecting data, an improved form for determining the Metaphoric Perceptions of the Classroom Teacher,was used and the students were asked to develop metaphors for the classroom teacher and to give the reasons for the metaphors they developed. The data were analyzed by content analysis. It was observed that students developed 408 metaphors for the concept of classroom teacher. The mother (60), angels (47), mother and father (38) metaphors are the most common ones when they are arranged according to the frequency of repetition. 408 metaphors are grouped under 15 conceptual categories. These conceptual categories, as value, as a source of information, as one of the family, as a guide, as educating, as a supporter, as a protector, as an element of pressure, as a, shaping their behavior according to different situations As a requirement, he/she is a primary school teacher as one who cannot be deceived, are listed. The most metaphor was developed in the conceptual category of the class teacher as the value, while the least metaphor was developed in the primary school teacher conceptual category as one who could not be deceived. The metaphors in the conceptual categories were examined according to the grade level of the students. 4, 8. and university senior students develop the metaphor in the conceptual category of the class teacher as the most value, while the 12th grade students develop the metaphor in the conceptual category of the class teacher as the most educated.
