Abstract (EN)

V SUMMARY In our study, by using three different root canals forming device and four different irrigation solution, it was investigated how much root canals might be able to remove smear layer in coronal-middle and apical region. Hand device (hedstroem file), Giromatic and Hero 642 system were used as forming devieces. Sodium Hypochlorite (NaOCl), Ethylen diamine Tetra Acetic Acid (EDTA), EDTA+NaOCl combination and saline were used as solution. 64 anterior group teeth were used in our study, and after the crowns of the selected teeth, they were divided into four groups ( consisting of 16 teeth) randomly. These teeth were formed with Hand device, Giromatic and Hero 642 system. The fourth group was used as control group, and forming process couldn't performed. The teeth in each group were divided into four each four subgroups, and irrigation process was carried out. The canals washed with saline were used as control groups. It was grooved to the teeth in the direction of mesio-distal, it was kept in liquid nitrogen, and divided into two. By covering with gold in 200°A thickness, it was scrutinized under Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). In the results of tests, the best cleaning among the devices was obtained from Hero 642 system, and from EDTA+NaOCl among the solutions, and from coronal regions amongs the regions. In control group in which forming process wasn't carried out, the availability of smear layer couldn't be observed.VI In the results of our tests, it was found out that the best cleaning become in hand- device/NaOCl/Coronal, Giromatic/NaOCl/Coronal, and in Hero 642/EDTA+NaOCl/ Middle combinations.
