Özet (EN)

The aim of this study is to investigate whether the wear of AISI 630 stainless steel dental tools with different coating properties, the tool life will be long. If wear is not noticed in time, it can have very expensive consequences. That's why surface coatings have recently been developed to prevent wear. AISI 630 stainless steel is a type of material frequently used in the oral and dental health sector. AISI 630 stainless steel has corrosion resistance and very good mechanical values. During surgical operations, heat may occur during bone drilling. As a result of tissue overheating, bone necrosis occurs when the critical temperature exceeds 47ºC. In the study, 3 different dental tools, TIALN, ZR and 630 stainless steel, were studied. Dental sets were tested on cow tibia bone, beech wood and composite material. SEM images of the dental sets were taken. As a result of the study, more wear occurred in TiAIN coating than other coating types. The least wear occurred in the ZR coating.
