Abstract (EN)

The development of polymer composites with the ability to absorb electromagnetic waves has attracted great interest in both literature and industrial R&D projects. In these studies, it is a common choice to prepare polymer composites by dispersing different conductive carbon derivatives or magnetic components in a polymer phase. In such studies, these fillers are physically dispersed in a polymer phase based on epoxy, silicone or a thermoplastic and their performance properties are investigated. However, it is aimed to examine the relationship between the effect of microstructural properties in polymer composites, such as the geometric properties of different fillers, filler/polymer interactions, filler distribution, and electromagnetic wave absorption. Within the scope of the thesis, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene polymer, which is widely used industrially and offers high mechanical strength in a wide temperature range, is filled with carbony iron and nickel powder, prepared by melt processing methods and microstructural, dynamic mechanical and rheological properties were examined. Then, the dielectric parameters and electromagnetic wave absorption properties, were investigated.
