Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of different microbial and compound fertilizer applications on yield and yield components of maize (Zea mays L.). The study was carried out in 2018 vegetation period in İsabey village of Denizli province in Randomized Complete Block Design with four replications. In the study, a microbial fertilizer (BM-MegaFlu) applied from soil containing Bacillus megaterium, Pantoea agglomerans and Pseudomonas fluorescens; an other different microbial fertilizer (BM-Coton-Plus) applied from the leaves containing Bacillus subtilis and Paenibacillus azotofixans; and compound fertilizer (NPK) were applied. In the study, days to silking (77-82 days), plant height (261.8-292.9 cm), ear weight (277-309 g), first ear height (97.05-104.3 cm), ear diameter (97.05-104.3 cm), ear length (20.14-21.07 cm), seed number/ear (620-691), rachis weight (36.02-42.05 g), 1000 seed weight (392.1-423.2 g), average grain yield (10,36-11,57 t/ha) were determined. As a result, BM-MegaFlu+NPK gave the highest plant height and days to silking. The highest ear weight was obtained from BM-Coton-Plus and BM-Coton-Plus+NPK applications. The highest figures for first ear height was taken with NPK fertilizer. BM-MegaFlu gave the highest rachis weight and thousand seeds weight.
