Abstract (EN)
There are many Ni-Ti glide path systems available today to prepare a glide path before root canal shaping. The aim of this study is compare the effects of glide path preparation with K-type handpiece, R-Pilot (VDW, Germany), One G (Micro Mega, France) and ProGlider (Dentsply, Germany); on cyclic fatigue resistance Reciproc (VDW, Germany) and One Shape (Micro Mega, France) systems. In our study, 96 mandibular first molar teeth were used in 8 groups (n = 12). In each group, firstly a glide path was prepared and then the root canal system was shaped. Reciproc and One Shape files used after the shaping process were subjected to cyclic fatigue resistance test and the breaking time and the number of turns until fracture (NCF) of the files were obtained. Kruskal Wallis test and Mann Whitney U test were used in the statistical analysis of the data. If we examine the results of our study; Regardless of the glide path system used, the cyclic fatigue resistance of the Reciproc system made of m-wire alloy was found to be significantly greater than the cyclic fatigue resistance of the One Shape system produced from traditional Ni-Ti alloy (p <0.001). In addition, the cyclic fatigue resistance of the Reciproc and One Shape systems used in the teeth prepared with the ISO # 15 K type hand tool was found to be significantly lower than the Ni-Ti guide track rotary tool single file systems (p <0.001). In addition, in the findings we obtained; In the groups in which the reciproc system was used, no statistically significant difference was found between all three Ni-Ti glide path systems in terms of the effect on cyclic fatigue resistance (p> 0.05). In the groups where the One Shape system was used, the cyclic fatigue resistance of the One Shape files used after the R-pilot system was found to be statistically significantly lower than the One G and ProGlider systems (p <0.001).
