Abstract (EN)
Scymnus subvillosus (Goeze), which has wide distribution, don?t have detailed study except a few faunistic and systematic literature. Because of this reason, this study was taken up and development and fecundity of S. subvillosus were determined at five constant temperatures (15, 20, 25, 30 and 35±1 °C) and one alternate temperature (25/35±1 °C) with 60 ± 10% RH and daily 16 h artificial light. The developmental time (egg to adult) of S. subvillosus significantly decreased with increasing temperatures, ranging from 14.2 days at 30 °C to 31.00 days at 20 °C. The development wasn?t completed at 15 and 35 °C. The highest development time was recorded at 20 °C, the lowest at 30 °C. The oviposition periods lasted 67.9, 48.6, 42.5 and 40.3 days at 20, 25, 30 and 25/35 °C, respectively. The calculated total fecundity and daily oviposition rate per female were 499.47 eggs/female and 11.76 eggs/day at 30°C. The highest intrinsic rate of increase (rm).and net reproductive the rate (RO) of the S. subvillosus was calculated at 30 °C. The generation times (TO) is the lowest (39.99 days) at 30 °C. Development from egg to adult required 215 DD above a developmental threshold estimated as 14.13°C and, it can give 10 generations in Region of Çukurova. Key Words: Scymnus subvillosus, temperature, life table
