Abstract (EN)
This research has been conducted in order to analyse the relation between personality traits of teachers who are members of different unions and their organizational commitments.In this study, whether there is a statically significant difference and relation between personality characteristics of teachers, who are members of different unions and work in elementary schools, and their organizational commitments, depending on their gender, age, seniority, management experience, education level, school type, branch and unions, has been examined. Descriptive survey model has been used for the research.The research population has been composed of 631 teachers, who were union members and worked in public elementary schools of the Ministry of National Education in the academic year of 2011-2012, in Sancaktepe, Istanbul. Accordingly, the scales have been applied to 317 teachers chosen from the population by rational random sampling methods.
