Abstract (EN)

In this study, ıt was aimed to investigate the relationship between fattening performance of Angus and Hereford bullocks and some biochemical blood parameters. Within the scope of the study, blood samples were taken from a total of 65 head bullocks before feeding, during the beginning, mid and final of the fattening, body condition score and live weight were recorded during the weighning procedure. Live weights at the initial of the fattening of Angus and Hereford bullocks was 332.94 ± 8.06, 338.55 ± 9.0 kg; live weights at the end of the fattening are 566.64 ± 10.11 and 560.33 ± 11.02 kg, respectively. In terms of GCAA, no statistically significant difference was found between breeds, periods and breedxperiod interaction average. In terms of live weight, the effect of breeds and breedxperiod interaction was determined to be insignificant; The differences between the averages according to the fattenning periods were found to be statistically significant. Differences between breeds in other biochemical blood parameters except triglycerides, cholesterol, phosphorus, calcium, total protein, glucose, ALP, ALT and GGT were found to be statistically significant. The difference between periods was determined to be significant (p<0.01) in all biochemical blood parameters. It was determined that breedxperiod interaction was important in biochemical blood parameters except cholesterol, glucose, globulin, ALT and GGT (p<0.05).
