Abstract (EN)
Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the anaerobic performance in athlete children and adolescents in different sports with laboratory and field tests. Method: One-hundred four athletes between the ages of 10 and 16, minimum age of training of one year in different sports voluntarily participated in the study. Length, body weight, body fat percentage and lean body mass of volunteers were measured. To determine anaerobic performance, WAnT using Monark cycle ergometer (Monark-Crescent AB, Sweden), RAST and pediatric RAST using photocell advice (Newtest 2000) were performed. Peak power, mean power, minimum power and fatigue index values were determined for each test. SPSS package program was used to analyze data. Results: Absolute and relative power outputs, fatigue index and total exercise time values of WAnT, RAST and PRAST were different significantly (p < 0.01). Absolute peak power, mean power and minimum power of PRAST were higher significantly than WAnT and RAST (F=91.11; F=113.74; F=121.53 p<0.05 respectively). According to test-retest results of WAnT, RAST and PRAST, ICC [95% CI] values have high reliability coefficient for all variable. It was found that there is positive correlation statistically between WAnT and RAST for all variable (p<0.01). In addition, there is also positive correlation statistically between WAnT - RAST and RAST - PRAST excluding Yİ (p<0.01). Conclusion: As a result of this study, it was determined that WAnT, RAST and PRAST have high reliability and are appropriate for child and adolescent athletes in that age groups to evaluate anaerobic performance. Furthermore, although tests have different motion properties, it was determined that they have similar results when performed. This determination is supported by high correlations between tests and variables. Key words: Anaerobic power, anaerobic capacity, WAnT, RAST
