Abstract (EN)

The research was conducted to determine effects of irrigation methods and irrigation levels on silage corn (Zea mays L.) gown as second crops after harvested barley in Igdir ecological conditions in 2014 year. The research was established in split plot experimental design with three replications. Four irrigation levels (decrease 25%, 50%, 75%, 90% of available water capacities) and two irrigation (drip and furrow irrigation) on corn were applied. In the study, plant height, plant weight, number of plants, number of leaves, ear number, geen yield, leaf ratio, ear ratio, stem ratio, dry matter ratio, dry matter yield and crude protein ratio were investigated. Irrigation methods has affected plant weight, geen yield, ear ratio, stem ratio, dry matter ratio and dry matter yield. While the highest plant weight, geen yield, ear ratio and dry matter yield is obtained in drip irrigation, stem ratio and dry matter ratio was obtained in furrow irrigation. Irrigation levels has affected plant height, plant weight, geen yield, stem ratio, dry matter ratio and dry matter yield. Plant height, plant weight, geen yield and dry matter yield in low irrigation levels was significantly decreased, on the other hand, stem ratio and dry matter ratio was increased. According to the results of the study, begin watering when consumed 25% and 50% of the available water-holding capacity of the soil will be more suitable for silage corn production in Igdir ecological conditions. Considering the economic power of farmers and available water amount potential could choose one of the two irrigation methods (drip and furrow irrigation). In particular, because of drainage and salinity problems of region soils territory, the selection of drip irrigation would be more appropriate.
