Numerical analysis of dental implants of different designs

Abstract (EN)

In this study, the stresses of different dental implant designs under a certain force were investigated. The stress values on dental implants were observed and the effects of the design on increasing the strength were observed. In the introduction, information is given about osseointegration, biomechanics, teeth, jawbone, dental implant, dental implant design and finite element method. By examining the historical development of dental implant and dental implant designs, previous studies related to the subject are mentioned. In the first chapter, the definition of implant models with different designs was made and the models were created according to the finite element method. In the study, implants in 3 different designs and abutments in fixed design were used. Titanium has been defined as a dental implant and abutment material. The created implant-abutment junction was placed at a fixed point on the lower jawbone, respectively, and the analysis was performed after the necessary boundary conditions were met for 3 different designs and loadings were made. As a result of the analysis, stress, strain and displacement values were obtained. In the second part, the numerical values of the 3 models designed were examined. In the third chapter, the results and recommendations obtained from the study are mentioned.
