Abstract (EN)
In this study, the mutagenic effect of 4 different pesticides (fluoroglycofen-ethyl, fenoxanil, pyracarbolid vebenodanil) used in agriculture widely have been investigated by using short-term bacterial mutagenicity testsystem namely Salmonella/microsome. In the Salmonella/microsome test system the mutant strains used areSalmonella typhimurium TA 98 and TA 100. Therefore, both test strains were tested in the absence or presenceof S9 metabolic activation. For this, the first three test compounds 0.1 µg/plate, 1 µg/plate, 10 µg/plate, 100µg/plate and 1000 µg/plate concentrations, and for benodanil; 0.05 µg/plate, 0.5 µg/plate, 5 µg/plate, 50 µg/plateand 500 µg/plate concentrations were tested in two paralel independent experiments. At the absence of S9, 4-nitro-o-fenilendiamine, at the presence of S9, 2-aminofluorene was used as a positive control for TA 98. At theabsence and presence of S9, sodium azid was used as a positive control for TA 100. DMSO solution andspontaneous control groups were used as a negative control. Results of experiments were compared with positiveand negative control groups data. Consequently; among these four pesticides, only 100 and 1000 µg/plate dosesof fenoxanil was found mutagenic in TA 100 with or without S9.2006, 98 pagesKey words: Ames assay, mutagenicity, pesticides, fluoroglycofen-ethyl, fenoxanil, pyracarbolid, benodanil
