Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the effect of collector types and mixtures on the performance of sulphide copper ore flotation has been investigated. Flotation tests were done by using the ore obtained from Kastamonu Küre province and the results were compared. The tests were carried out in two stages. In the first stage, individual tests were performed with each collector type. Collector mixture tests designed by using the Design Expert program according to the best results obtained from individual collector tests and the tests were completed in accordance with the experimental design of the program. Data from collector mixture tests were analyzed by using Design Expert program to determine the optimum collector mixture, dosage and ratio. In the second stage, according to the results given by the program, 100% SIPX and 40:60 A238-3477 mixtures were compared with the X231: KAX (95: 5) collector mixture used in the plant.Comparison were done based on the copper concentrate recovery and grade obtained from the open circuit cleaner flotation tests and the closed circuit simulations. When the results compared considering the collector costs and the profit to be achieved from the copper concentrate, it has been found that it is possible to produce a high quality concentrate with higher grade and recovery by using the Aero 238:3477 mixture at a ratio of 40:60.
