Abstract (EN)
Objectives: In this study, the efficacy of percutaneous nephrolithotomy operation was assessed on the data of 233 patients older than 65 years old who underwent percutaneous nephrolithotomy in our clinic. Material and Methods: The data of patients were analyzed retrospectively. Results: The operation time, fluoroscopy time, nephrostomy removal time, hospitalisation time and blood transfusion rate were assessed in patients older than 65 years who underwent percutaneous nephrolithotomy with kidney stone. Also, the effect of prior open surgery or shockwave lithotripsy were assessed. Discussion: The percutaneous nephrolithotomy which is gold standart in kidney stone treatment, is effective and safe in older patients as much as in young patients.
