Abstract (EN)

Within the scope of the thesis, extracts of the above-ground parts of Salvia sclarea, which grows in our country, which were harvested at different times, prepared with hexane, methanol and ethyl acetate were prepared by maceration method. Extracts, extract yields and total phenolic content were determined and compared. Essential oil was obtained with the Clevenger apparatus and the results were elucidated by Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrophotometry. The main components of the essential oil were found to be Linalol, linalyl acetate, caryophyllene oxide, sclareol and spathulenol. To determine the antioxidant activities of the extracts, DPPH scavenging effect and ABTS+ methods were used and the results were evaluated. In order to determine the anticandidal activity, methanolic extract and essential oil were used, and a comparison was made in terms of effectiveness.
