The effect of enriched e-book application within the scope of Fatih Project on 7th grade students' attitude towards mathematics, motivation and achievement

In this research, the effect of enriched e-books within the scope of FATİH Educational Project on the seventh grade students' attitude, motivation and achievement on the subject of equality and equation towards mathematics is observed and suggestions are made according to the results obtained. Quasi-experimental model is utilized in the research. The experimental group is composed of 40 seventh grade students of two different groups from secondary school (20 experimental group and 20 control group students). In control group, in the process of teaching equality and equation subjects, the teaching is carried out with the books and education programme determined by the Board of Education and Discipline. In addition to that, enriched e- book application is used in experimental group. To obtain data in the research, Mathematics Attitude Scale developed by Aşkar (1986), Instructional Materials Motivation Survey developed by Keller (1983) and attempted to make adaptation by Dinçer and Doğanay (2016) and Mathematics Achievement Pre-test and Post-test developed by the researcher himself related to equality and equation subjects are utilized. The data obtained is analyzed by Independent Sample t-test on the condition that they demonstrates normal distribution and Mann Whitney U-Test and Non Parametric ANCOVA (Quade Method) is used for analyzing on the condition that the data don't demonstrate a normal distribution. At the end of data analysis, it is observed that enriched e-book applications don't have any effect on the achievement and motivation of students in mathematics statistically, but have effect on attitude to mathematics statistically.
