The analysis of the Divân of Fatîn

ABSTRACT This study is prepared based on the analysis of the Divan of Fatin Efendi, one of the divan poets of the 19th century. Fatin Efendi, whom people don't have much information about, was born in the Drama in 1814. His real name was Davud. Fatîn Efendi, seen as a middle-ranking poet in Divan poetry, the text of his Divan was made and the features of its forms were examined. However, there is no detailed analysis of its contents. For this reason, our study aimed to examine and analyze the content of Fatin Divan in detail. The source of our work was based on the book named Fatin Divan'ı which was prepared by Mehtap Erdoğan. There are 7 odes, 167 ghazal, 2 müstezad, 243 chronicles, 14 song, 1 murabba, 1 tahmis ghazal, 1 mesnevis, 18 stanzas, 2 nazm, 1 lughz (riddle), 21 couplet, 2 verse in the divan. Our assay study consists of four parts. In the first part of our thesis, Fatin Efendi's life, his literary personality, his poetry and his works were informed about. The second part was named "Regilion and Sufism". Religious-Sufi elements are included in this part. Information about Allah, angels, prophets, books, the hereafter, various concepts related to religion, concepts related to worship, various interpretations were made. The third part was named "Society and Nature". In this part, information and comments were given about historical personalities, cities, countries, internal life, cosmic realm, elements related to time, four elements, animals and plants. This section is the most voluminous part of our thesis. The fourth part was named "Human". In this part, comments were made about beautiful and beauty, lover, elements of beauty of lover, states of a lover. In the last part of the thesis is a systematic index containing the elements that were identified in the divan. The Works we utilized during our study are also included in the bibliography section.
