Özet (EN)

Nowadays, rise in the number of signal sources coupled with increasing electromagnetic noises in the atmosphere, prevents having signals in a desired quality. For this reason, antenna arrays are frequently used in telecommunication systems. Because antenna arrays, in contrast to single antenna elements, enables desired radiation pattern by changing related parameters so that they are preferred in industrial applications. It is an important field in communications provided that the antenna arrays are effectively process signals coming from a proposed direction with maximum gain, as well as they blocks signals coming from undesired directions. In this study, antenna arrays designed with circular microstrip antennas are taken into account and they are subject to optimization to obtain desired radiation patterns. Genetic algorithms which was emerged from genome science and provides a framework for complex problems having no optimal solution with analytic methods, are used in this study as an optimization method. Consequently, it is proved that genetic algorithm is an optimum way for having best parameters showing main beam in antennas in the right direction.
