Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the relationship between the arts of print and feminist art from the 1960s to the present and the perception of women in printmaking by feminist artists are examined. At the end of these studies, the reasons that lead feminist artists to produce print paintings are revealed. In the first part of this tripartite study, feminist theories, developments in the phenomenon of feminism and the relationship between feminism and women are examined in a theoretical structure. In the second part, the reflection of feminism on art is examined and the interaction of the artists who produce works with a feminist attitude with the arts of print and printmaking is discussed. In the third chapter, in the context of the relationship between feminist art and printmaking: how feminist artists deal with the perception of women in printmaking is presented with examples. It has been observed that feminist artists mostly use printmaking technique to convey their ideas to communities.
