An analysis of the science teacher candidates on discovery of science?s holistic structure by associating the concepts related with the electrical circuit and electrochemistry and the impulse transmission in nervous system

The aim of this study is to make an intensive research on the discovery of science?s holistic structure by associating the concepts related with the electrical circuit and electrochemistry and the impulse transmission in nervous system of the science teacher candidates.Working group of this inquiry which has been performed in accordance with the case study method that is one of the designs of qualitative research methodology consists of six senior teacher candidates who are from Science teacher department in Gazi University. While the working group is being determined, an exam which is related with the subjects such as impulse transmission in nervous system, electrical circuit and electrochemistry has been carried out with 62 teacher candidates. According to results of this exam, it is aimed to reveal the different dimensions of the problem by the way of maximum diversity sampling with the participation of different teacher candidates who have different standards of attainments.Inquiry data has been collected by means of discourse analysis by taking into consideration the sub-problems which are formed at the beginning of the inquiry. Coding the scripts of sub-structured discourses has been fulfilled by using a package program called hyper research 2.6.1.When the standard of attainments of the teacher candidates related with the impulse transmission in nervous system, electrical circuit and electrochemistry is analyzed, it has been confirmed that there are lack of knowledge and misconceptions related with the above mentioned issues for the teacher candidates.It has been understood at the end of the inquiry that holistic structure among the above mentioned concepts has not been developed although the subjects although the impulse conduction in nervous system, electrical circuit and electrochemistry concepts are completely focused on the concept of electric.
