Özet (EN)

The aim of the research is to determine the scientific process skills perception levels and scientific process skills levels of science teachers. In this research, scientific process skills are based on basic and experimental processes classification. Basic process skills include observation, classification, measurement, space and time relations, estimating and expressing skills, experimental process skills, defining and controlling variables, hypothesis setting and hypothesis polling, data interpretation, identification by doing, experimenting and making model includes skills. In the research, the screening model of the quantitative research types was used. The study group consisted of the undergraduate students of the Science Teaching Department of Kastamonu University. A total of 230 students including 65, 62, 46 and 57 students participated in the study. Perception Scale for Scientific Process Skills and Scientific Process Skills Test for Teacher Candidates were applied to the students. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to analyze the data. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that students' perceptions about scientific process skills showed statistically significant differences between first and fourth grades. There were no significant differences between the perceptions of other grade level students. According to the results of the scientific process skills test, significant differences were found between the first and fourth grade level, second and fourth grade level third and fourth grade levels, and there were no differences between the first, second and third grade levels. In comparison of the mean scores of the test scores according to the grade levels, there was a positive relationship between perception and scientific process skills. In addition, as a result of the correlation between the perceptions of prospective teachers and scientific process skills for scientific process skills, it was found that the first and second grade levels had a high level of relationship at the middle, third and fourth grade levels.
