The investigation of relationships towards prospective science teachers' information technology, communication skills, and self-efficacy perceptions towards science and technology

Aim of this study is examining the relationship between self-efficacy perceptions for information technologies and communication skills and science and technology literacy of prospective science teachers who are chosen by appropriate sampling method. 2018-2019 fall semester 1, 2, 3, 4 classes 285 prospective science teachers who are chosen by appropriate sampling method at the universities in the Aegean Region of Turkey are examples of the reseach,form this study. In the study, personal information form,teachers' information and communication skills scale, communication skills scale, self efficacy perceptions literacy scale for science and technology are used as data collection tool. According to the results of research, while science and technology literacy varies by universty and class level, it doesn't differ by gender. Communication skills differ by university and class level but it doesn't differ by gender. Computer and internet usage preferences of prospective teachers who are studying at different universities are similar. In terms of class level, computer usage for education ranks second in the first grade students while it ranks first in other grades. In terms of gender difference,computer and internet usage for education it is less preferred in boys than in girls. Prospective teachers' social communication and information technology skills contribute to science and technology literacy.
