Determination of the science teachers' character and values regarding global citizenship

This study aims at determining of science teachers' the character and values of regarding global citizenship. Study group consists of 438 science teachers working in 21 cities, 3 from each region of Turkey, determined by random sampling. In the study, one of the quantitative research methods, survey model was adopted. Data of the study was collected by the "Personal Information Form" created by the researcher and the "Character and Values as Global Citizen Assessment Questionnaire" designed by Lee et al. (2013) and adapted into Turkish. Data of the study was analyzed with IBM SPSS Statistics 26 program. The data of the study was analyzed by independent samples t-test for determining the differentiation in character and value judgments for global citizenship in accordance with the following of the gender and scientific studies publications and by one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) for determining the differentiation according to professional seniority and location. The study concluded that the gender, following of academic publications, professional seniority and the location of science teachers do not cause a meaningful difference in terms of character and value judgments regarding global citizenship.
