Abstract (EN)

In this research, it was aimed to determine the usage of EBA Platform in science teachers' lessons and their opinions about benefiting from the platform. A descriptive survey model, one of the quantitative research methods, was used. The study group consists of 229 science teachers working in Ankara. An online survey was administered to teachers. In the study, frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, t-test and Anova test results were used to analyze the data. According to the research results; It was determined that the usage rate of EBA Platform science course contents was higher at the 5th grade level and decreased at the 8th grade level. During the distance education period, the level of use of EBA Platform science course contents increased at all grade levels compared to the face-to-face education period. It has been determined that teachers use EBA Platform science course content mostly for video demonstrations and experiment demonstrations in face-to-face education and at least for benefiting from the textbook, while in distance education they mostly use video demonstrations, experiment demonstrations, question solutions and assignments. While the use of EBA Platform is mostly affected by internet infrastructure problems, internet speed, smart board malfunctions, insufficient content and insufficient course time in face-to-face education, students' lack of technological equipment, internet infrastructure problems and internet speed are affected during distance education. The relationship between science teachers' opinions about benefiting from the EBA Platform and their gender was examined with an independent t-test and it was determined that there was a significant difference in favor of female teachers. When the opinions of science teachers regarding their use of the EBA Platform were subjected to the ANOVA test according to the teachers' age, professional seniority and place of duty, it was determined that there was no significant difference between them. In order to increase the usage and benefit level of the EBA Platform in both face-to-face and distance education, first of all, the problems of missing technological equipment, internet infrastructure and internet speed in schools should be resolved and emphasis should be placed on incentive activities for teachers.
