Abstract (EN)
It is not possible to determine the factors and most favored occupations that people are most influenced in choosing a profession and to rank them according to their importance by binary logic. Because in real life, people can not always make a clear assessment when they make a decision. They are using indefinite expressions. The fuzzy set theory was developed by Zadeh for solving this situation. By including the theory in multi-criteria decision making methods has made it possible to solve problems with multiple criteria, alternatives and decision makers. The factors affecting the choice of profession and choice of the profession are also the problems that can be solved by multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) methods. By using the fuzzy TOPSIS method (FTOPSIS) as a part of MCDM methods, the qualitative and quantitative data can be processed together and the fuzzy expressions could be converted into numerical data. In this study, the factors affecting the choice of profession for last grade science high school students in Yozgat-Center and the profession preferences have been examined by using FTOPSIS method. The sources have been carefully invastigated in determining the factors and it has been tried to obtain updated information in this study. In the determination of the most preferred occupations, the results of the LYS exam for the 2015-2016 academic year of the science high school located in the center of Yozgat and ÖSYM have been taken into consideration. A questionnaire including occupations and factors affecting the selection of the profession for last grade science high school students in the center was prepared. The required permissions were taken and a questionnaire was applied to the last grade students of Şehitler Science High School, Erdoğan Akdağ Science High School, Çözüm Science High School in 2016-2017 academic year. The survey was conducted with the participation of 109 students. The FTOPSIS method has been applied in determining the importance weights of the factors affecting the selection of the students and determining the priorities in the profession preferences. In the method, fuzzy triangular numbers are used and linear normalization process is performed and alternatives and criteria are ordered according to proximity coefficients.
