The competencies of science and tecnology teachers in integration practices

The aim of this study is to determine the integration education competencies of Science and Tecnology teachers who have mainstreaming students in their classes, to interpret these competencies and to give suggestions when necessary.For this purpose, in order to find out their views, a semi-structured interview method was conducted in the spring term of 2008-2009 with 12 Science and Tecnology teachers working in 10 primary schools located in a central town of a Tekirdağ province and who have mainstreaming students in their classes. "The Instrument of Self- Evaluation of Integration Education Competencies" was used in order to reveal the views of Science and Technology teachers having mainstreaming students in their classes about their integration education competencies.
