Özet (EN)

The teaching of the scientific processes has recently been one of the significant research fields in the education of science. Among these skills remain the skill of hypothesizing, a skill difficult to improve. It is highly important to make use of new technologies while earning this skill. The purpose of the study is to determine the effect of the simulations on the skills of hypothesizing in the lab activities of the 8th grade students in the secondary school. The study is an experimental research and Scientific Process Skills Test was used while collecting the information. The sample is composed of 41 8th grade stundents studying in B school in a medium-sized city of A in Turkey. In the study, the students of the experimental group (n=21) and the students of the control group (n=20) were determined randomly. The definig statistics and t test were used in the analysis of the data obtained. The data were analysed through SPSS 24.0 packet program and it was noticed at the end of the analysis performed that the teaching technique through simulation was effective in the improving the skills of hypothesizing of the students. The effects of the different variables concerning the efficiency of the technique of teaching through simulation could be examined in the future.
