Technological pedagogical content knowledge investigation of self-reliance levels of pre-service science and tecnologi teachers

The main purpose of this research is to examine the technological pedagogical content knowledge self-reliance levels' of the pre-service teachers studying at the Science and Technology Teaching Department, in terms of some variables. In this research it was aimed to reach the entire pre-service science teacher studying population at the İnönü University, Faculty of Education 2012-2013 spring mid term. Therefore no sampling method was used. Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge and Self-Reliance Scales were conducted on a total number of 278 participants.In order to determine whether or not participants' scores from the scale differ significantly in terms of gender and instruction type independent samples t test was used. In the analysis of grade level variable one way analysis of variance (Anova) was used. Results from the analysis showed that; Technological Pedagogical Field Knowledge Self-reliance Levelsof pre-service Science and Technology Teacher doesn't vary in all dimensions. Technological Pedagogical content Knowledge Self-reliance Level doesn't vary Technological Pedagogical Field Knowledge (TPFK), Technological Pedagogical Knowledge (TPK) and Technological Field Knowledge (TFK) meaningfully and when the datas examined candidate teachers. Technological Pedagogical Field Knowledge Self-reliance Level doesn't show difference in Technology Knowledge (TK) and in Technological Pedagogical Field Knowledge Self-reliance Scale (TPSS) meaningfully.
