Abstract (EN)
Phanar Patriarch tried to have an influential role in state administration sincethe establishment of East Rome Empire being about to dissappear. It gained a newlife with Fatih?s conquest of İstanbul and entered to Turkish history.Despite owing its existence to Ottoman Empire, it made harmful activitiesagainst the state when the Ottoman Empire started to get weakened and played animportant role in the decline of the Empire.In our study, we focused on the news, the books published about it and thepolitical activities realized by Patriarch which are not convenient to LozanAgreement by utilizing the daily media since 1923.
