Özet (EN)

In cities, people spend more time indoors. For this reason, this situation has negative physical and psychological effects on people who work and spend their time away from nature with stress and intense tempo, stuck in concrete buildings. Indoor ornamental plants have many positive effects because they are part of nature in indoor areas. This statement is supported by national and international researches (surveys conducted on users in many areas such as hospitals, schools, offices). In this thesis; different living room and balcony plants were designed with 3D modeling by considering Feng Shui philosophy and the space perception of these areas was evaluated. Since the study has not been done before, it was evaluated by experts (interior architect, architect, landscape architect, agricultural engineer) in this thesis study. In garden art, plants are an important part of nature and stand out with their use in line with cultural and belief values throughout their lives. One of the most important ways to understand cultures is to examine the garden architecture left behind by a society and the philosophy that influences it. Today, garden architecture has started to change direction in the field of use with balcony and living room plants in limited areas. In this thesis, the effect of the plants used in balconies and living rooms designed according to Feng Shui philosophy on the perception of space is determined. This thesis study emphasizes the importance of approaches that center on the interaction of environment-human-plant in the process of creating sustainable, healthy and balanced interiors.
