Abstract (EN)
It is aimed to detect latent fingermarks by using plants containing natural dyes in the structure of anthocyanin or anthraquinone, which are known to react with amino acids. For this purpose, Vitis vinifera L., Solanum melongena L., Musa cavendish, Aloe barbadensis L., Punica granatum L. and Brassica oleracea L. Var. Capitata f. rubra DC. plants were selected. Qualitative and quantitative analyzes, and spectroscopic analyzes (IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR ve Q-TOF) were carried out to determine the presence and/or amounts of anthocyanin, anthraquinone and phenolic compounds in the obtained plant extracts. White copier paper was chosen as the porous surface in fingermark detection. Fingermarks on the copier paper were treated with the solutions of the obtained plant extracts and it was determined that all the extract solutions reacted with the fingermark residues to form visible fingermarks exhibiting very strong photoluminescent. In addition, aging tests and fingermark tests of 1 week, 1 month, 3 months and 6 months old traces were also carried out, and these fingermarks were made visible. When compared to DFO, it has been seen that better results can be obtained with extract of Brassica oleracea L. Var. Capitata f. rubra DC.
