Abstract (EN)

Antibiotics are among the pHarmaceutical groups used for many therapeutic chemicals in humans and animals. In parallel with the rapidly increasing world population in recent years, drug use has also increased. Antibiotics are an important micro-pollutant group found in wastewater and receiving environments due to their very common use. The presence of such micro-pollutants in the aquatic environment and threatening the environment made it compulsory for the scientific world to conduct research in this direction. In this study, Tetracycline, Oxytetracycline and Chlortetracycline removal from the aquatic environment was investigated by fenton process. For this purpose, the optimum operating parameters of pH, Fe+2 and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) concentrations, reaction and precipitation times, which are also effective in the fenton process for pollutant removal, have been determined. During the working period; pollutant (TC, OTC, CTC 100 ppm), pH (2-3-4), Fe+2 (0-20-40 mg / L), H2O2 (25-50-100 mg / L), reaction time (2-5 -10 min) and precipitation time (15-30-60-90 min) conditions were tried. Optimum conditions in TC removal trials; pH: 4, Fe+2: 30 ppm, H2O2: 100 ppm, reaction time: 10 minutes and 90 minutes for precipitation time. Under these optimum conditions, 100% TC removal was achieved. For OTC removal; pH: 3, Fe+2: 20 ppm, H2O2: 25 ppm, reaction time 5 minutes and waiting time 90 minutes for precipitation. Under these conditions, 100% OTC removal was found. For CTC removal; pH: 3, Fe+2: 20 ppm, H2O2: 25 ppm, reaction time: 5 min and waiting time for precipitation were observed as 90 min. Under these optimum conditions, CTC removal efficiency was found to be 99.68%. As a result of this study, it was found that fenton process is an effective method for TC, OTC and CTC removal.
