Özet (EN)

?FIDIC? (International Federation of Consulting Engineers- Fédération Intérnationale des Ingénieurs-Conseils) was founded in 1913 in Belgium. FIDIC?s first standard form of contract was published in 1957, since then FIDIC has published several standard contract forms. In 1999, by making systematical changes in the provisions, a completely revised new series of contracts have been published by FIDIC; The Red Book (Conditions of Contract for Construction)?, The Yellow Book (Conditions of Contract for Mechanical and Electrical Process Plant/Design-Build)?, The Silver Book (Condition of Contract for EPC/ Turnkey Project)?, The Green Book (Short Form of Contract)?FIDIC, has amended the dispute resolution provisions of the four FIDIC books published in 1999, so called ?FIDIC Rainbow?, with an essential change. In this thesis, dispute resolution provisions of FIDIC standard contract forms are examined in two chapters. First chapter is focused on FIDIC?s structure, function, purpose, its standard forms of contract and their nature and the dispute resolution procedure stated in the standard forms before the 1999 revision. In the second chapter the dispute resolution provisions of the new FIDIC standard forms, known as ?FIDIC Rainbow?, are analyzed in detail. Furthermore the determination of the place of arbitration and the law to be applied to the relevant dispute are included to the scope of the chapter.
