Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of inoculation of lactic acid bacteria+enzyme (LBE) additive to the silage material consisting of Hungarian vetch- oat mixture on nutrient composition, chemical properties and in vitro digestibility values of silage. In the study, while no LBE inoculant was added to the silages of the control group, LBE was added as 300 000 and 500 000 cfu/g of silage material for LBE1 and LBE2 groups, respectively, and incubated for 60 days. After incubation, the dry matter content of the silages of control, LBE1 and LBE2 groups were found as 23.17, 22.02 and 22.33%, respectively (P<0.05). Although there was no difference in pH values between the control and experimental groups in the study, the highest lactic acid value was found in LBE2 group silages (P<0.01). There was no difference between the digestible dry matter, dry matter consumption and relative feed value of the silages in the groups. In vitro neutral detergent fiber digestibility (IVNDFD) values of the silages after 48 h incubation were 41.65, 44.14 and 47.38% for the control, LBE1 and LBE2 groups, respectively, and it was determined that there was a linear correlation (R2: 0.894) between the inoculant doses and the IVNDFD values. It was concluded that it is appropriate to the addition of LBE inoculant up to 500 000 cfu/g silage material to improve silage fermentation parameters and IVNDFS values of the Hungarian vetch-oat mixture.
