Abstract (EN)

Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT) are unique digital tokens that represent digital assets and are built on blockchain technology. Each NFT has a unique digital identifier, which is used to document the uniqueness and ownership of digital assets. NFTs provide a solution for the protection and trading of digital artifacts, especially in the art world. The relationship between artworks and NFTs represents an innovative paradigm that blockchain technology brings to the art world. Artists can digitize and tokenize their works as NFTs on the blockchain. This offers the advantage of documenting and trading digital ownership rights of the work. This study examines the potential of NFTs to protect the digital ownership rights of artworks and the effects of blockchain technology in terms of copyright law, and examines the contributions of technological developments in terms of copyright. In this context, examples of NFTs are analyzed and their advantages and disadvantages are explained. By emphasizing the importance of blockchain technology and NFTs in the protection of artworks, this study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how new boundaries between art and copyright law can be drawn.
