Özet (EN)
Would the growing mutual economic interdependence between nations of the international community, like China-USA, Mexico-USA (NAFTA), Japan-South Korea and the European Union countries, lead to the provision of international peace and security? Does this assumption apply to the Israeli-Palestinian issue? Will it confirm the existence of a causal link between economic interdependence and peace? Or does increasing interdependence lead to provocation of international conflicts? In order to be able to answer the above questions, this thesis aims to show how to provide a final solution of conflicts through mutual economic interdependency, by considering the possible role of mutual economic interdependence in the emergence of some conflicts and by examining different "real world" examples. The aim of this thesis is to assess what kind of mutual economic interdependence is related to the factors that trigger a conflict, and whether the same mutual economic interdependence can be used for the mutual benefit of the conflicting countries by ultimately overcoming the conflict. On the other hand, it is important to recognize that starting, conciliating or even preventing a conflict is no longer just a matter of government-to-government or political party-to-political party or coalition-to-a rogue state interacion. In a global economy, all three types of conflicts inevitably involve a broader set of participants, especially the business world. In this regard, the private sector is able to make a strong contribution to a comprehensive peacebuilding and thus to realize a profit. However, profit-oriented behavior can sometimes jeopardize peace unless economic stimulus initiates business strategies that prevent conflict. The importance of this thesis is to explore how economics and politics interact with each other and how they can be used to create peace and prosperity, especially between Israel and Palestine. Accordingly, the impact of economics on politics and peace is presented to show how economic relations between Israel and Palestine can provide the resolution of ongoing political conflicts.
