Derivatives are one of the indispensable risk management and investment toolsin the world that makes available, the evaluation of the expectations related to futureby economic units in financial services area, the prevision of the spot markets andprovide spot markets to work more efficient by reflecting the expectations about thefuture to the prices, to raise the efficiency of the monetary policy in the country and italso supports the activities of the other financial units, shortly derivatives products arevery important for whole economy. Derivatives are complemantaries of financialmarkets that should be already exist in the nature of development process of marketsas Nobel prized economist Milton Friedman said.The main subject of the thesis is the marketing of the derivatives productswhich will have an assistance to financial system and Turkish Capital Market, withinthe framework of financial service marketing. In this study firstly financial services,markets and agencies are analyzed from the marketing of financial services point ofview. The importance of derivatives and marketing of these products by financialintermediaries and exchanges in financial service marketing are analyzed theoreticallyand current examples are given.As a newly established derivatives products exchange, ?Turkish DerivativesExchange? features to marketing efforts due to being an origin of a new period aboutthe risk management in our country. The presentation ways of derivatives to investorsand marketing situation analysis at the Turkish Derivatives Exchange are examined asa practice example in the thesis within the context of financial service marketing.
