Financial crises and public expenditure: A comparison between countries with different development levels

Financial Crises have important effects on the financial structures of countries with the increase in capital mobility day by day. Financially, countries are in a difficult situation in the face of crises. In the background of the occurrence of financial crises in countries, mainly the exchange rate policy implemented by the countries, international capital movements, inflation and the countries' preference for an excessive direction in their borrowings lie. Countries can take effective steps against crises by making public expenditures to meet financial crises and social needs. In this study, the countries that are important geopolitically in the region were selected and the public expenditures of the relevant countries between 1990 and 2020 and the changes in these expenditures were examined in terms of public expenditure approaches and functionally.
