Financial regulations and practices

The role of the financial system in the growth and development of an economy is very large. Financial sector basically functions bringing together the economic units that supply and demand funds. Therefore, the smooth functioning of this function is very important for the general health of the economy. Effective financial regulations will ensure better functioning of the financial system and will have significant positive effects on economic growth. The aim of this thesis is to reveal the importance of these financial regulation applications and analyze the effects of financial regulation processes on financial system and general economy. For this purpose, in the first part of the thesis, the functioning of financial system in general is discussed. In the second part, financial regulation processes and financial regulation practises are analyzed. In the third part of the thesis, the effects of financial regulation processes on financial system and general economy are evaluated. As a result, it has been found that financial regulations are vital for the healthy functioning of the financial system and the economy. In the absence of financial regulations, it is seen that financial crises that may threaten the whole economic system may arise. Keywords: Financial Regulations, Financial System, Financial Crises.
