Prevention of security problems in the use of crypto coins and technological innovations in financial investments: The case of the Ledger company

Today, depending on technological developments, the competitive environments is gaining vitality. This situation had an impact on the banking sector, especiallyin the financial field. With technology and innovations, the financial sector has entered the process of change. The increase in the speed of technological development in the process of change, the globalization in the financial markets together with the banking sector, the increase in the competition between financial institutions, the innovations in payment systems, the increase in the diversity of financial services, the new business areas/professions and areas of interest created by the integration of technology in financial services. Thanks to the interaction of technology and financial innovation, customer satisfaction increases in parallel with the decrease in costs, and the acceleration of transaction processes prevents time loss. Looking at the financial sector in line with these developments, companies that follow technological trends well and offer good opportunities in the globalizing world come to the fore, while the future of companies that lack/far from technological developments does not seem bright. Before the invention of Money, people were meeting their needs by bartering their goods. With the invention of Money and the internet, there is a transation to a virtual currency that develops from nominal Money to cyrpto Money. In this digitalizing and rapidly developing age, the transition to cyrpto currency provides convenience in many ways, and it also raises some questions marks in the mind of people to make safe investments. In the first part of this study, the aspects of financial technology and the approach of the age to this technology are examined and its effects on individuals and institutions are mentioned. In the second part, the concept of Money, which is the main key of finance, the invention of Money and the result of technological development, cypto Money, which is a virtual currency that has been aroused by everyone recently, has been examined. The concept of cyrpto Money, its functioning, types of cyrpto Money, mining, wallets, advantages and disadvantages are mentioned in detail. In the third chapter, detailed studies are carried out on the security system created by this virtual currency on individuals and institutions, and the effects on this issue are discussed.
