Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to determine the readiness of classroom teachers for basic astronomy subjects and to investigate the change in classroom teachers' achievements in basic astronomy subjects by using physical models of basic astronomy subjects in the Primary Education Life Sciences and Science Education Program. . In this study, which was carried out using an easily accessible sampling technique, the sample of the research consists of 30 classroom teachers who work voluntarily in Samsun or schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in the 2021-2022 academic year. This education model was implemented with teachers' learning by doing basic astronomy subjects and their active participation in the process. In this study, Karma's research method was preferred, and quantitative data were carried out with a weak treatment design. Pre-test, post-test and permalinkity test are applied. Qualitative data are included in fields 1, 4, 6 and 8 in the Astronomy Achievement Test. There are open-ended questions prepared before the research form and open-ended questions in the semi-structured interview forms. Quantitative and qualitative data (diversification) obtained from the research were compiled in the analysis by prefessioning the design. Your analysis of quantitative data with SPSS 21.0 package program. Qualitative data are analyzed using the content analysis technique. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the readiness of the teachers in some basic astronomy subjects was low. In addition, there was a significant difference between the test values of only one group and it was seen that the activity with models increased the academic success of the teachers. Based on these results, it is suggested that the use of physical models will be effective in teaching basic astronomy subjects in primary school life and science curricula, so that students will be active in teaching
