Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this research is to examine students' opinion and academic success of the Flipped Classroom model introduced to 1st grade students in the Web Editing Class at the Department of Computer Programming at a Vocational School. The research was carried out at the Siverek Vocational School of Harran University during the Spring Semester. 34 first grade students from the Department of Computer Programming, 17 in experiment group and 17 in control group were involved in the study. This research is based on true experimental model with pre-test post-test, experiment-control groups. Independent variable of the research is the introduction of Flipped Classroom Model. Dependent variable is the academic success level of the students. The research groups have been formed in a neutral way. In experiment group, lectures were given with Flipped Classroom model while traditional lecturing methods were used in control group. Hypothesis of the research was tested with an Independent-Samples "t-test". The results were analyzed with SPSS 18.0 program. According to results of the research, the difference between academic success of the lectures with Flipped Classroom model in the experiment group and academic success of the lectures in the control group are found to be statistically meaningful. It has been determined that lectures given with Flipped Classroom model contributed positively to academic success and to the students' opinion in the experiment group.
