In this study, 27 patients were evaluated, who treated with percutaneous laser disc decompression (PLDD) technique between 2011-2013 retrospectively with patients' data and control visits.17 patients were female (62.97%) and 10 patients were male (32.03%). Mean age was 44, 33 (25 – 62). Patients who admitted to outpatient clinic with lumbar disc herniation, and treated with PLDD technique were included to study. Applications were performed via local anaesthesia, and no postoperative complication was reported. Visual analog scale was used to evaluate the pain level, and modified Macnab Criterias were used to evaluate functional outcomes at 1st , 3rd , 6th ,and 12th months postoperatively. According to Macnab Criterias, perfect and good results were reported in 81% of patients. VAS score was reported between 0 – 2 in 73% of patients. In accordance with findings, PLDD is an effective treatment option which is easy, and has low complication rate, and high succes rate. Key words: Lumbar Disc Herniation, Percutaneous Laser Disc Decompression, Modified Macnab Criteria. VAS (Visiual Analog Scale).
