Abstract (EN)
Using the resources obtained from nature more efficiently and for a long time and finding alternative materials to these resources have been the main subject of many studies. Long-term utilization of limited resources and their recycling and reuse will ensure that these resources are used more effectively. Using wastes as an alternative to these natural resources will provide economic benefits by providing energy savings along with waste utilization. In this study, the usability of burned hazelnut shell ash (FKK) and waste reclaim (AGK) ash materials generated during the enrichment of chromite ore in Eti Krom plants as filler material in flexible superstructure coatings were investigated and compared with limestone fillers. The thesis consists of three stages of experiments. In the first stage, crushed limestone fillers and fixed fillers were used (4.7%) and optimum bitumen percentage was determined by Marshall stability tests (4.6%). In the second and third stages, the stability, practical specific gravity, asphalt-filled void ratio, void percentage were added to the test samples created by mixing the limestone filler material with FKK and AGK in different proportions (25-75%, 50-50%, 25-75%, 100%). Change, yield change and inter-aggregate space change tests were applied and the results were compared and interpreted. As a result, FKK affected the interaction of bitumen-aggregate as it covered the aggregate surface and caused peeling by reducing the durability. It was observed that the stability values using AGK increased, the vacancy rates decreased and a better alternative to FKK ash was prepared.
