Abstract (EN)
Cancer, one of the most common and fatal diseases worldwide after heart disease, has proven to be the leading health problems nowadays. Chemotherapy is the most commonly used method of cancer therapy in many forms of therapy and many chemotherapeutic agents have been developed for this method. In our study, the aim is to study isolation of paclitaxel, which is one of the chemotherapeutic agents. Paclitaxel was isolated from hazelnut shells by isolation and chromatographic purification using different solvents and different column filling materials. Optimization experiments were carried out by reverse phase and normal phase column applications in refinement processes. Paclitaxel has been proven by analysis of its presence in hazelnut shells. Positive, negative and improvable situations were determined in the experiments. In hazelnut shell; the presence of paclitaxelin, an important anti-cancer drug, has shown us that the shell, which is often produced and sustained in our country as well as being mostly used as waste, can also be made much more valuable.
