Systematic examination of mites of Tydeidae family in Foça district (İzmir)

In this study, it has been evaluated tydeid mite species collected from Foça, İzmir province. Each month, in the period of August 2015- September 2016, litter, soil and moss samples taken from different habitats in Foça will be brought to the laboratory in nylon bags. Mites will be extracted in Berlese funnels for seven days and preserved in 75 % ethanol. The mites will be picked from the samples under a stereomicroscope, clasified in lactofenol and mounted on slides in Hoyer's medium. 13 species belonging to seven families were obtained during this study: Pretydeus henriandrei, Brachytydeus brevicula, Brachytydeus nytebodensis, Idiolorryia marci, Melissotydeus macrosolemus, Melissotydeusincarum, Metalorryia magdalenae, Neolorryia pandana, Tydeus electus, Tydeus quadrisetosus, Tydeus spathulatus, Tydeus linarocatus, Tydeus lolitae.These all species new records for the Turkish fauna. Their morfological features, measurements of various organs and the figures have been given on the basis of specimens collected from Foça, İzmir province.
