Abstract (EN)
The subject of this thesis is the Symbolic Form as one of the particular art forms in Hegelian aesthetics. Senses which are taken as contents for artworks in the symbolic form are general and obscure ideas that are separate abstractions intermingled with natural life; and since they cannot be ideally collected together by consciousness, they are devoid of totality. Hegel, in positioning the symbolic form and the civilizations related to that form in accordance with the teleological structure of the internal development of art, claims that the thoughts and ideas taken as the senses of artworks produced according to the fundamental characteristic of the symbolic form are abstract and indeterminate, and that they constitute a multiplicity without unity by. Against Hegelian thought, "meaning", "definition", "abstraction – concreteness" and "determinateness – indeterminateness" have references in a particular network, and these references change and vary according to different symbolic networks. Consequently, the civilizations that Hegel treats in the symbolic form, produce artworks to understand and explain the reason and the unity of the multiplicity in natural and spiritual processes, but they are not the symbolic expressions of an ultimate yet-to-be-determined meaning.
