Abstract (EN)

Developing technology and increasing of the energy need have directed humankind to alternative energy sources. Thanks to advantages like not need raw material, be environment friendly, be able to produce small power etc. renewable energy sources are increasing their popularity. Local governments also have been taking into account listed advantages and supporting these sources. Solar energy is one of the important renewable energy sources because of its high potential. Investment in solar energy systems, which can be used grid connected and give chance also off grid, increasing day by day. On the other hand, evaluation of investment technical and economical way comes out as an important problem. In this thesis study, a new interface which provides an opportunity to realise feasibility analyse of photovoltaic systems is performed. With the interface which was developed by MATLAB/GUI enables to execute technical and economical analysis for on grid or off grid PV systems. In addition, the amount of carbon emission can be monitored by the interface to present environmental effects and can be compared with oher energy sources' values. Developed interface within the thesis has been tested in different scenarios and compared with commercial products. The result of comparisons shows the correctness of the developed interface.
