Turkish manuscript in the France National Library

Manuscripts seem to have inspired many researches in the history of science. In this study, it is aimed to prepare an up-to-date catalog of Turkish manuscripts registered in the French National Library Turkish Manuscripts Collection inventory. Although the catalog of the aforementioned collection was prepared in French by Edgar Blochet in 1933, the inclusion of a large number of Turkish manuscripts in the collection since then has necessitated the preparation of a new catalogue. In the Findings section of the study, the theoretical framework was drawn and various conceptual information about manuscripts and cataloging was presented within this framework. In this section, the catalog of the works in the collection, which is the subject of the research, was created. In this cataloging activity, which is based on the filing method, Turkish manuscripts were classified in different fields such as subject, copy date, author / copyist, and they were also shown in a table. In this study, it has been determined that the preparation of the catalog of the collection in question, which draws a very wide framework in terms of both genre and content, will provide convenience to researchers and will be a source for new researches.
